Happy New Year! I hope you enjoyed celebrating the end of 2013 and the coming of 2014. Now it’s time to dig in and make 2014 your best year ever!

I’ll get right to the point.

If you want to make 2014 your best year ever, you’ve got to have a PLAN. You’ve got to write down what you intend to do, who is going to do it, and when it is going to get done. I know that for many people that is difficult to do. But if you want to be among the few who succeed, you’ve got to take the time to think, focus and write down your goals.2014-Happy-New-Year-300x168

I’m going to give you a very simple way to make this happen. I call it a 6×6 Action & Accountability document. I used a modified version of this approach in my previous business and recently a colleague and friend re-introduced me to the concept. It is powerful – and it works!

The idea is to have a single document for 2014 where you write down your High-Level Goals, those big things you want to accomplish this year, then prioritize the most critical 6 things that you need to accomplish in the next 6 weeks to move closer to those big goals. For the next 6 weeks, you focus your attention ONLY on those 6 priorities. Don’t get distracted. Don’t add to the list. FOCUS on 6 things over 6 weeks. Each week you add to the document your progress and results.

At the end of the 6 week period, add 6 new priorities to the document and for the next 6 weeks, focus on those priorities only. Document your progress and your results. Each subsequent 6 weeks, do the same thing – rinse and repeat if you will!

By the end of the year, you will have 40-50 significant priorities completed for your business. Your business will be transformed. Your high-level goals will certainly be in reach.

Make a resolution to give this a try. If you’re serious about it, simply send me a note (reply to this post or send me an e-mail) and I will send you the 6×6 template to get you started right away.

Here’s to 2014 being Your Best Year Ever!

Ride Hard,

Rich
