You are straight off a much-needed day of rest. We all need a break from the action from time to time. But now it is time to move on to the next stage of the Tour de Profit. With only 14 stages left in this year’s race, it is time to begin putting all the pieces together.
Today is Stage 39 where we enter the Synergy Region of the race. This is the region where we focus on Leadership – both for you personally and for your team. The goal for this region is to prepare your business to be led by those around you. This is the point in the race where you begin to lay the groundwork for building leaders, delegating the more critical tasks and positioning yourself to move away from the day-to-day details of your business.
Over the next several days we will be covering the five critical areas necessary to Create Synergy within your business. These five areas are critically important to any business owner who hopes to one day have a team of people who can actually run the business on a day to day basis while the business owner is focused on the next great opportunity.
That next great opportunity may be an extension of the current business, or an expansion of coverage, services or support, or the introduction of a new business model, or a totally new business opportunity.

Leadership requires study. Leadership requires planning. Those around you who look to you for leadership are watching to see what you find important.
That is why our first stage in the Synergy region will focus on the most important team member – you. As you prepare yourself for the Synergy region of this year’s race, this is when you begin thinking about what you need and want to be in your own personal development plan.
We’ll go into detail on it in the next stage, but this is a great time to be thinking about what you hope to gain from the Synergy Region.
You’ve been riding a good race. You are seeing the benefits of your hard work and determination to build a GREAT company. Now is the time to begin thinking about Leadership. This is about building a SUSTAINABLE enterprise – one that will work without you in the daily details just as well as if you were still at the controls.
